elave skincare - nothing to hide
author
This week elave skincare launched their online advertising campaign to highlight the use of chemicals in skincare products - a campaign which is close to our hearts at ChemicalSafeSkincare.
The advertisement warns of the use of ingredients in skincare products which are linked to skin conditions and even cancer. It identifies Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Parabens and Perfumes as the most common triggers for skin flare-ups.
The campaign aims to show that elave has nothing-to-hide where even the MD of the company bares all to highlight the issue - and I do mean bare all. Be warned, the clip contains nudity to highlight the issue! If you have a problem viewing the video, you can also access it here - http://www.nothing-to-hide.co.uk/movie.php and http://www.elave.co.uk/nothing-to-hide/

Friends at Elave,
What a beautiful ad! I hope you hang in there even if you get some backlash from the radical conservatives. The human body is natural and good and wholesome and you have had the courage to acknowledge this. Bravo! By the way, though I prefer men, I did click on her breasts and was quite happily surprised that you anticipated this and had her give me a tiny verbal lashing. One other thing, I haven’t seen too many men or women as generously endowed as your models, but then again, this is advertising. I wouldn’t prefer anything less. :)

These examples of the campaign are elegantly designed, naturally protrayed, and exquisitly conveyed.
Congratulations.
Alberto.

This ad is a real milestone in advertising history.
Congratulations! Who is the blonde in the front?

It’s a good idea, but it doesn’t really pull the ‘natural’ thing off. All those models are waxed/shaved/toned beyond perfection. It should be more like the Dove true beauty campaign.

I don’t agree, elave said that they have nothing to hide not that their models were natural! Dove used curvey girls to appeal to the public and it was very good but I must say if you look at their products - they couldn’t claim to have nothing to hide!

Brian, Open your mind. I know a lot of “radical conservatives” that are nudists as well. I for one.

Congratulations for commissioning this advert - I hope sales increase as a result. The models are great - attractive while still natural looking. Perhaps this shows we are getting more comfortable with nudity at last ?
