New Year is all about detoxing your body whether its to loose weight, feel better about yourself or improve your health.
Are you ready to take a step further and detox your bathroom cabinet???
What you’ll need
Good eyesight (or a glasses if necessary to see the ingredients on labels)
A large bin bag
Instructions:
1. Remove each product from the bathroom including hand washes, shampoos, bubble baths, body lotions, moisturisers & shower gels
2. Scan each product’s ingredients for chemical nasties – anything ending in Parabens; Perfume/Parfum, Colourings which will be written as a combination of letters and numbers eg BU4389; Formaldehyde. Check our link for further information
3. Open the large bin bag and drop all product that contain chemical nasties into the bag
4. Sit back and relax – Be proud, you have detoxed your bathroom
5. Time to shop – look out for products that are free from chemical nasties. Ignore products that claim to be sensitive, gentle or natural and scan all ingredients.

I agree we should be cautious of what we put on our skin - surely there
has to be some correlation with the raise in health problems and the
number of chemicals we apply on to our skin.
‘If you can’t put it in your mouth, don’t put it on the skin,’ is the
philosophy of Ayurveda an ancient Indian science of health and medicine.
Please let me know of any places you know which you would recommend for natural health/skin care products. Also I’d been keen to hear from others who have any thoughts on the subject - please post a message with your views on the subject.
